Ali Saheli

I am an engineer and early-stage investor.

I founded Expon Labs, where we build AI-native platforms for service industries. I also co-founded TeleSwap, a trustless light-client bridge connecting Bitcoin with EVM chains, Solana and TON.

I am a founding general partner at Hex Capital, a Vancouver crypto fund launched in 2016, with investments across Dapper Labs, Kraken, Maker, 0x Protocol, Nervos Protocol, Bitcoin and Ethereum. Earlier in my career, I worked as a software engineer at Recon Instruments, acquired by Intel, and Trulioo. In 2013, I co-founded Foro, a student marketplace acquired in 2015, and later served briefly as Head of Product at Shippo.

As an angel investor, I have backed Apollo, Carta, Ritual, WalletConnect, Eraser, Afterparty, Clay (acquired), Serve Robotics (IPO), Code Zero, Attendease (acquired), Spocket, Stay22, thisOpenSpace (acquired) and Grow (acquired).
